Is mantis a beneficial bug or a pest？
Mantis is a species of beneficial bug. They don’t eat any plants, they just like to eat meat, especially eat live. For example, they eat the eggs or the larvae of the flies、the mosquito locusts、the moths and the butterflies. Even large insects, such as cicadas, are their prey objects too.
Cotton Aphids、pink worm、corn borer、cabbage worm、cabbage caterpillar、cockchafer, almost more than 60 species of pest adults and larvae are their food. Mantis is also a natural enemy of the locusts. So mantis is particularly beneficial to the farmers.
